No time to hunt for the perfect red lipstick? Scoring that right red is exhausting. As a fashion and beauty junkie, I've been happily test driving every red lippy stick imaginable. Save yourself the hassle. Try my Top 5 Cruelty-Free picks:

1.) Icon by Hourglass: Liquid matte perfection in a classic blue-red.
2.) Rock Steady by Urban Decay: A deep, full red that builds and nourishes.
3.) Palais Royal by NARS: An exquisite glossy formula in a true berry.
4.) Decisive by Lush: Beautiful matte, full coverage. Warning: If it's too matte, dab Aquaphor on top.
5.) Cherry Red by Besame: A vintage glam replica of a 1935 bestseller.

How to Wear Must-Have Animal Prints

Here's the lowdown:
1.) Go for Asymmetry: Mother Nature, The Ultimate Designer, gives her animals tons of asymmetrical markings. Tigers, for example, have stripes that are small, large, wide, short and skinny, simultaneously. This is why perfectly symmetrical animal prints look weird and contrived.

2.) Keep it Simple: These fun prints work best on straightforward, classic designs. In general, the simpler the design, the more sophisticated a bold animal print appears.

3.) Size Matters: Smaller objects like tank tops are easier to start with. Why? The exposed skin breaks up the print.

4.) Rock Unnatural Colors: A red cheetah? Blue snake? Purple leopard? Fantastic but ideal for quiet, reserved designs.

5.) Exhibit A: President and creative director of J. Crew, Jenna Lyons. She is chic personified. Meow!
